A new documentary explores the links between environmental toxins and cancer.
Sandra Steingraber, subject of the new documentary Living Downstream, discusses the impact pollution can have on our health, why Canada is ahead of the U.S. in terms of dealing with environmental hazards, and what it was like having a camera crew with her in the doctor's office as she dealt with bladder cancer.
She joined audio producer Chris Mitchell over the phone from Portland, Maine.
(Run-time: 17 minutes.)
Living Downstream is playing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18 at the Bloor Cinema in Toronto.
