The Liberal Party may have decreasing popularity, but candidate Andrew Lang remains optimistic.
The Liberal Party has slipped to their lowest popularity since Stéphane Dion was leader of the party, with only 25.1 per cent of Canadian support, according to the latest EKOS poll. The Conservative Party has built a near double-digit lead over the Liberals, despite controversy surrounding the Afghan detainee hearings and the Helena Guergis scandal. Michael Ignatieff admitted recently that his political foes have "done a number on [him]."
Andrew Lang, the Liberal Party candidate for Toronto-Danforth, spoke with The Mark about the latest EKOS results, and how the Liberals will try to galvanize the Canadian public.
