The Mark Radio ep.16: Forms of entertainment are evolving, but the goal is still to have fun.
You can tell a lot about a society by the entertainment it chooses. Ancient Rome had its Gladiators, Middle England had Shakespeare's plays, and we have their updated, modern-day versions in television, sports, and video games. Though the medium has changed, the stories remain the same and the goal is still to just have fun.
On this week's episode of The Mark Radio, host Chris Mitchell speaks with three people who want to bring you the next step in entertainment.
First up is Tom Wright, the newly appointed director of operations for UFC Canada talking about how he plans to bring mixed martial arts to the Canadian market.
Next is Victor Lucas, Canada's foremost ambassador of video game fandom, on why games should be considered art.
And finally, Etan Muskat, director of the Montréal-based webseries The Bitter End, explains how the internet is redefining what we watch on TV.
