Tony Clement is right when he says the census is invasive.
Political parties, interest groups and researchers are demanding an explanation for the government cutting the mandatory long-form census. Industry Minister Tony Clement has said the form invades the privacy of Canadians, and that he is willing to defend his decision before a House of Commons committee.
Warren Kinsella, President of Daisy Consulting Group, spoke with The Mark about why he thinks the long-form census is invasive. He also gives an anecdote about how he thumbed his nose at Statistics Canada when he refused to fill out the last census.
