The Mark Radio ep.24: Why are there so many funny Canadians?

As Canadians, we're famous for our sense of humour. Some of America's biggest stars happen to come from north of the border: Mike Myers, Jim Carey, Lorne Michaels, Seth Rogen, Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Russell Peters, just to name a few.

So why are Canadians so funny? Is there a unique brand of Canadian comedy?

This week on the show, four conversations with Canadians who make people laugh for a living.

You'll hear from:

Mark Breslin, comedy scene legend and founder of Yuk Yuk's, on how to spot real talent in the clubs.

Andrew Clark, director of the School of Comedy at Humber College, on why stand-up should be appreciated as an art form.

Ryan Belleville on how he went from class clown to career comedian.

And finally, Canadian Comedy Awards founder Tim Progosh, on the past, present, and future of the Canadian comedy scene.

(Run-time: 29 minutes.)
