Conservatives' Wounds Are Self-Inflicted

For the first time since 2004, the Tories are polling below 30 per cent. And they have no one to blame but themselves.
In an EKOS poll released yesterday, the Conservative Party is clinging to a one-point margin over the Liberals, just weeks removed from a near double-digit lead. And while the Tories have managed to stay strong despite the Afghan detainee hearings, the handling of Helena Guergis, and riots at the G20 conference in Toronto, the long-form census backlash may leave them vulnerable to their opponents.
Robert Silver, partner at Crestview Public Affairs, joins The Mark to speak about why the Conservatives have slipped in the latest polls, and why their ceiling has lowered due to micromanaging the Canadian public.
