Ken Leung charged gunman in an attempt to spare his wife and children
Three Canadians died on board a Manila tour bus on Monday when a disturbed former policeman held passengers hostage for 12 hours and eventually killed eight people. Ken Leung was a dual citizen of Hong Kong and Canada, and he was apparently killed when he rushed at the gunman in a bid to protect his family. His two daughters Doris and Jessie were also murdered, and his son Jason is reportedly fighting for his life in hospital. His wife Amy was on the bus but escaped serious injury, and in an emotional interview with Hong Kong television she criticized the Manila police for failing to prevent the murders.
