Oprah taking audience to Australia

To mark the start of her final season on the air, Oprah Winfrey told her studio audience today she was flying them all to the other side of the world.

Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has a history of being generous to her audience. At the taping of a Christmas show in 2007 she gave out gifts totaling $2.1-million to the 300 people in attendance. In 2004 she gave away 276 Pontiac sedans worth a collective $7-million. But as this is her last season on television, today she decided to top herself by announcing (with trademark joyous shout) that she'll be taking everyone to Australia... in a jet flown by John Travolta. Today was the season premiere of her show, which will go off the air in September 2011 after 25 years.
