Brett Favre looks very, very old

The veteran quarterback may be wishing he hadn’t come out of retirement.

Future NFL hall of famer Brett Favre looked a shadow of his former self yesterday, throwing three interceptions and fumbling once in a 14-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins. It was the worst game the 40-year-old grandfather has ever played for the Minnesota Vikings. At the end of last season Favre said he was considering retiring for the third time in his career, only to recommit to the Vikings at the last moment. He missed training camp, which some say has contributed to his poor form at the start of this season. Elsewhere in the NFL Michael Vick, who spent the last two seasons in prison, led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 35-32 win over the Detroit Lions.
