The talk show host allegedly never cleared the teenager’s appearance on the Tyra Show with the girl's mother.
Beverley McClendon says she was never consulted before her daughter Jewel Ciera Washington appeared on an October 2009 episode of the Tyra Show as a self-proclaimed sex addict. McClendon said she didn’t even know where Washington was when the show was taped, and filed a missing person’s report with the police. She’s seeking $1 million from Banks, whom she alleges showed negligence and violated her daughter’s privacy. The model-turned-TV star has yet to respond to the allegations. The Tyra Show ran for five seasons and won two Daytime Emmys before being Banks left in the spring of 2010 to launch a production company.
