O’Donnell’s Constitution fail

The Delaware Tea Party candidate revealed she didn't know what the First Amendment stood for at a debate last night.

During a debate with her Democratic opponent Chris Coons last night, Christine O’Donnell made mistakes a well-versed American high schooler would be embarrassed by when she couldn’t recall what the First, Fourteenth, and Sixteenth Amendments stood for (for us ignorant Canucks, that’s the separation of church and state, citizenship for anyone born on American soil, and the Income Tax, respectively). At one point the audience broke out laughing when she asked Coons if the separation of church and state were in the First Amendment. O’Donnell has had a tough month. A few weeks ago footage was unearthed of the conservative Christian admitting she had dabbled in witchcraft.
