Ugly Betty Actor Says He Killed His Mother Because A Demon Was Inside Her

Michael Brea gave a disturbing interview from the prison ward of Bellevue Hospital.

Brea, 31, was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly killing his mother with a sword in the New York apartment they shared. In a chilling interview with the New York Daily News, the clearly unstable actor who once had a bit role on Ugly Betty told reporters that he attacked her because she began speaking in a different voice and he believed a demon was inside her. He also said that he tried to kill her slowly so that she had time to make her peace with God. Police were outside the apartment when the murder took place, and neighbours have criticized officers for not acting quickly enough. Brea was reportedly close with his mother Yannick, a 55-year-old Haitian immigrant.
