Critics are condemning the latest WikiLeaks document release as a gift to terrorists.
Terrorists probably didn’t need WikiLeaks to tell them that Ontario’s Darlington nuclear power plant would be a good target for an attack, but officials are denouncing the release of a cable that lists the power plant and several other sensitive Canadian sites, calling it a “wish list” for terrorists. The cable came in 2009 after U.S. diplomats were told to compile a list of “critical infrastructure” and “key resources” outside the U.S. that could potentially harm Washington’s interests if attacked. That list contains hundreds of sites around the world and dozens in Canada, including power plants and oil and gas pipelines, and has now been made public by WikiLeaks.
