Crossbow Suspect Wrote To Governor General About Victim

Zhou Fang told David Johnston that he was scared his “evil” father would kill him and his mother.

Twists in the bizarre Toronto crossbow killing case keep coming. Police say Zhou Fang killed his father Si Cheng in a Toronto library last Thursday by shooting him with a crossbow. It now appears that shortly before the incident Fang wrote to the governor general, asking that Cheng be deported to China because Fang feared he was coming after him and his mother Nora Fang. Cheng was convicted of domestic assault against Nora Fang in 2002, and the pair divorced. Yesterday the Toronto Star reported that Cheng had been living in a homeless shelter and had contacted a reporter for the Chinese-language paper Sing Tao for help. The reporter said Cheng was paranoid and made several accusations against his ex-wife.
