Is this the worst end to a great career in the history of professional sports?
On Sunday 41-year-old Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre concluded a dismal season by sitting out the final game due to injury. A day later, two former New York Jets massage therapists filed a lawsuit against him and the team, alleging that after they refused his sexual advances during his 2008 stint with the Jets they were denied work by the franchise. On Dec. 29 the league fined him $50,000 as a result of allegations he sexually harassed Jenn Sterger, a former Jets’ reporter. Since announcing his retirement in 2007 Favre has un-retired twice, thrown one of the most notorious interceptions in football history, been accused of sexual misconduct by three people, and posted the worst quarterback rating of his career.
