Ted Williams says he’s going to get treatment after being detained by the LAPD following a dispute at a Los Angeles hotel.
In a move that should surprise absolutely no one, the Columbus, OH homeless man who rocketed to overnight fame courtesy of a Youtube video that showed off his incredible voice is checking himself into rehab. While it was heartwarming to see the job offers come pouring in for Ted Williams, instant success and wealth is probably a mixed blessing for some one who’s struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for decades. Police briefly detained Williams after he got into a loud dispute with his daughter at a Los Angeles hotel, and substance abuse is believed to have been a factor. He told TV’s Dr. Phil that he’s going to a rehab clinic to sort himself out.
