George Lucas Says Apocalypse Coming in 2012

  • First Posted: Jan 21 2011 08:02 AM

The legendary filmmaker reportedly told actor Seth Rogen that the world will end next year.

Does this mean there will definitely be no more crappy Star Wars sequels, then? Seth Rogen said that when he sat down for a meeting with Lucas and director Steven Spielberg recently, Lucas went on a 25-minute tangent about how the world will end in 2012. It took Rogen a while to realize Lucas was serious, at which point he asked if Lucas had built a spaceship so that he could escape. “'If you're George Lucas and you actually think the world is going to end in a year, there's no way you haven't built a spaceship for yourself,” Rogen said, “He claimed he didn't have a spaceship, but there's no doubt there's a Millennium Falcon in a garage somewhere.”
