Sheila Fraser has asked the Tories to retract a report on the G8/G20 summits in which they mistakenly said she praised their summit management.
Auditor General Sheila Fraser, babysitter of Canada's political playpen, asked that the Conservatives retract statements they mistakenly attributed to her commending them on their fiscal management of the G8/G20 summits. That report, submitted by Tory members of a parliamentary committee, took comments Fraser made in 2004 praising the government's post-9/11 security policies and applied them to summits that happened six years afterward. The Conservatives have apologized for using the quote improperly, but on the heels of leaked draft reports on G8 spending from Fraser's office, one might think the unanimously revered Fraser is pining for the end of her 10-year term this May.
