Webcam Captures Struggle before Woman's Death

A York University student is dead after a man broke into her Toronto apartment, witnessed by a friend in China via webcam.

Police have already determined the identity of a man sought in the killing of a 23-year-old Chinese woman attending York University this past weekend after he was caught on webcam breaking in to the foreign student's apartment. The unnamed woman was chatting with a friend back in China over the webcam when a man came to her door, forced his way in, and shut off her laptop. The student was found dead in her basement apartment the next day. Her friend in China, who witnessed the break-in over the webcam, alerted the girl's friends about the attack. The witness gave Toronto police a detailed description of the alleged assailant, who authorities have asked to come forward.
