After three days of border clashes, the UN Secretary General says the border dispute cannot be resolved through military means.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has called for a ceasefire and a "serious dialogue," as border battles rage on for a third day between Cambodia and Thailand. So far 10 soldiers have been killed in the clashes, which began on Friday near the disputed Preah Vihear temple. An international court awarded the temple to Cambodia in 1962, but both sides claim ownership of the surrounding area since parts of the Thai-Cambodian border have never been officially delimited. Back in February, the two countries had been fighting, but they had seemed to form a truce since then. Both sides blame each other for the latest military exchanges.
