Fifteen people – including a number of tourists – were killed in Morocco's worst terrorist attack in eight years.
The explosion at a crowded Moroccan cafe claimed the lives of two Canadian citizens, along with those of 13 others. The blast, believed to have been caused by a suicide bomber, tore through the central square of Marrakesh's old town, one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. If it is proven to be a terrorist attack, it will have been Morocco's worst in eight years. French and Dutch tourists were also among the dead, and 20 others were injured, according to the Moroccan government. The deceased Canadians are believed to be a married couple from Montreal who were in Morocco on vacation.
