Giorgio Mammoliti says the parlour where Jack Layton was found in 1996 was known for prostitution.
The Toronto massage parlour where Jack Layton was found in 1996 was known for prostitution, Toronto Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti told Sun News. Layton, the federal NDP leader, has said he did not know it was a suspected bawdyhouse, but Mammoliti said he doesn't believe Layton didn't know it was a place where he could receive sexual services. He added that now that this story is widely publicized, he hopes the federal government will begin to shut down more body-rub parlours. The story, which has been championed by Sun News, has been criticized by some, including Layton himself, as a "smear campaign." But perhaps the most amusing response belongs to Andrew Coyne, who tweeted, "I'd rather be caught naked in a massage parlour than fully clothed working for Sun News."
