A comedy about using the power of rock and roll to stop terrorists — including Osama bin Laden — debuted in Texas just last week.
Osama bin Laden's death will likely be spun into countless films of questionable worth, but one, starring Corey Feldman (the Corey who didn't die), Frank Stallone, and the Iron Sheik has the coincidental honour of debuting this past week. Operation Belvis Bash debuted at three theatres in Texas, and while it isn't just about hunting down the bearded terrorist through the power of rock and roll, bin Laden gets done in at some point during the, ahem, “film.” The flick gets a limited release this summer, but you can expect to find it sometime next year in a discount DVD bin at your local bargain retailer. Kathryn Bigelow, director of the Academy Award-winning The Hurt Locker, has a more upmarket take on the al-Qaeda chief in development, called Kill Bin Laden.
