Following Mike Huckabee's recent announcement, Republicans struggle to find a worthy opponent to U.S. President Barack Obama.

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee announced Saturday he will not be running for President in 2012. Huckabee, who was a strong Republication GOP candidate in 2008, had ranked in the top tier of possible Republican candidates. With his recent opt-out, the Republicans now struggle with finding an appropriate challenger to President Barack Obama, whose approval rating has increased since the killing of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden two weeks ago. Huckabee is the second popular Republican contender to forgo a shot at the presidency; Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour announced last month he would not run either.
