The career-networking site is now valued at near $10 billion – and it doesn't even have FarmVille.
LinkedIn, the social-networking site geared toward professionals, made a stunning debut on the New York Stock Exchange today, with its shares more than doubling from their initial (and pricey) price of $45 to more than $100 apiece. The hype around LinkedIn now puts the company's worth at around $10 billion, leading a host of analysts to worry that the stock is due for a correction, especially since the company isn't expected to turn a profit any time soon. Its valuation could be an omen for other online properties that have yet to go public, such as Facebook and Twitter.
