Strauss-Kahn is Granted Bail

Just after he was indicted on seven criminal charges, the former IMF head is expected to be released on bail Friday.
Former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn was granted bail and is expected to be released from jail Friday, just after being indicted on seven criminal charges related to an alleged sexual assault on a maid in a Manhattan hotel. The bail was set at $1 million in cash and a $5-million bond, and he is to surrender his travel documents and submit to a home detention. Strauss-Kahn was indicted on two counts of criminal sexual act; two counts of sexual abuse; and one count each of attempt to commit rape, unlawful imprisonment, and forcible touching. His next court appearance is set for June 6.
