Citing revenge for bin Laden's death, the group has claimed responsibility for a car bomb attack on an armoured vehicle.
One Pakistani was killed, two Americans were injured, and at least 10 people were wounded when a Taliban car bomb struck an armoured vehicle taking American government employees to the U.S. consulate in Pakistan on Friday. The Pakistani Taliban, an allied group of al-Qaeda, has claimed responsibility, saying it was in revenge for the U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Taliban spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan said that it "will carry out more deadly attacks," adding the group had warned it "will avenge the martyrdom of Osama."
