Another week, another privacy setback for Sony, with its cellphone service targeted this time.
Sony has been dealt another blow after hackers breached the personal data of about 2,000 Canadians using their mobile phone network. Names, email addresses, and passwords could have been stolen from the Sony Ericsson wireless website, the latest Sony data cache broken into after more than 100 million users of Sony's PlayStation and Online Entertainment gaming networks had their personal information exposed in attacks last month. On top of that, Sony forecasted a $3.1-billion loss due to the effects of the earthquake and tsunami in March that halted industrial production across Japan. We propose that everyone devote one day a week to playing PlayStation to help the tech giant right itself.
