Double Down Returns; Tim Hortons CEO Resigns

And you thought the bin Laden assassination/Election Day tandem was a big news day ...

There are huge movements afoot in the fast-food world today: KFC's infamous Double Down is coming back to Canada, while Tim Hortons CEO Don Schroeder resigned his position abruptly last night. Obviously, the second coming of the bacon-and-cheese-between-two-chicken-patties artery-clogger takes precedence over the corporate shocker at one of Canada's most iconic brands, as word has it that the Double Down will be made with 10 per cent less sodium than last time around. Frankly, that's bordering on sacrilege. The sandwich will go on sale at KFCs across the country on June 1 for a limited time only.
