Welcome to Boston Vancouver Pizza

Despite the chain's temporary name change, the pizza will taste the same.

In what is considered by many to be both a sign of solidarity and a brilliant marketing strategy, Boston Pizza has now become "Vancouver" Pizza in British Columbia for the duration of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The move was made on the restaurant chain's website as soon as the Boston Bruins won their spot in the hockey finals Friday night. The franchise also ordered rebranding materials for all of its 62 B.C. locations, including banners and stickers to replace the Boston Pizza logo. Employees have even been instructed to greet customers by saying, "Hello, Vancouver Pizza." The major rebranding will also take place at the Rogers Arena where the Canucks play.
