Military rivals and political leaders will make up many of Ratko Mladic's cellmates ahead of his war crimes trial.
Ratko Mladic is now awaiting his trial on charges of genocide in a jail cell in The Hague, where he'll likely be in close contact with Radovan Karadzic, who was the political leader of the Bosnian Serbs during the Balkan wars. Karadzic was Mladic's boss, while the latter helmed the Bosnian Serb army, and now both are waiting at the UN Detention Centre for their war crimes trials to begin. A slew of war criminals, both convicted and suspected, from the various Balkan wars of the 1990s now make their home at the detention facility, which boasts satellite television, basketball courts, and table-top soccer for the prisoners' enjoyment.
