Ontario NDP Wants Warning Labels on Cellphones

Surely Nokia, Apple, and RIM wouldn't mind printing warnings saying their products could cause cancer, right?
On the heels of a World Health Organization report that concluded microwaves emitted by cellphones could (not are, could) be linked to an increased risk of brain cancer, Ontario's New Democratic Party is calling for phones to carry warning labels saying as much. MPP France Gelinas, the NDP's health promotion critic, asked whether the ruling Liberals would consider mandating that phone companies put the warnings, which are already found in cellphone manuals detailing potential health hazards, on the phones themselves. The WHO report determined that radiation emitted from phones is “possibly carcinogenic,” meaning it's proven to be harmful to animals but inconclusive when it comes to humans.
