After nine weeks of fighter jets streaking across Libyan skies, Moammar Gadhafi shows no sign of wanting to step down.
NATO is urging its member states and allies to intensify airstrikes against Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi to show their resolve to remove the North African dictator. Tuesday featured the heaviest daytime air raids of the entire operation so far, with more than 20 strikes launched against Gadhafi's compounds around Tripoli, while French and British helicopters have stepped up their campaigns to go after Gadhafi forces holed up in denser urban areas. For his part, Gadhafi remains committed to holding on to power, as he's refused African Union offers allowing him to flee to refuge somewhere else on the continent. He has now pledged to stick it out until he's dead or NATO halts its air raids.
