Canucks Fans Break Windows After Loss

Frustration over consecutive lacklustre losses to the Bruins leads to minor property damage.

Vancouver Canucks fans, despondent over their team's woeful 4-0 loss to the Boston Bruins last night, broke windows at a downtown library in the city's first case of property damage during the Stanley Cup playoffs. While police have yet to release their full accounting of how many people were arrested in the 25,000-strong crowd that gathered to watch the game, there is concern that more losses could lead to a rehash of the rioting that broke out after the Canucks lost to the New York Rangers in Game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup final. The Canucks play again on Friday back at home in Vancouver.
