Weiner to Resign: Reports

Headline writers across the continent could soon be mourning the loss of some of their best source material.

... And in decidedly less inspirational news of U.S. congresspeople, Democrat Anthony Weiner is reportedly set to resign his seat over his sexting scandal. Nearly two weeks after he gave a news conference at which he admitted to sending lewd texts and rather private pictures to as many as seven young women across the United States, the furor (much of it feigned, one assumes) and devilish, occasionally porn-star-related details have yet to subside, providing an endless stream of embarrassment for his party. If Weiner does indeed resign, perhaps the American media and punditry can return their focus to that little matter of the country's $14-trillion debt.
