The Big Man of the E Street Band passed away due to complications from a stroke.

Famed saxophonist and E Street Band member Clarence Clemons died on Saturday. He was 69. Clemons died at a hospital in Florida following a stroke he suffered last Sunday. Bruce Springsteen, who performed with Clemons for decades, called the loss "immeasurable." Known as the Big Man for his imposing 6-foot-5 stature, Clemons spent most of his career with The Boss, but he also performed with The Grateful Dead, the Jerry Garcia Band and Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band. In recent years, Clemons had ups and down with his health, but he performed with Lady Gaga as recently as the American Idol finale in May. He's the second member of the E Street Band to die. Keyboardist Danny Federici died in 2008.
