The world's biggest car-maker has recalled almost 12 million vehicles in 18 months.
Toyota is recalling 110,000 of its hybrid cars due to safety concerns, the company announced in a statement Wednesday. The issue concerns a problem with the power supply circuit that could cause vehicles to stop suddenly. The recall involves the Highlander hybrid and Lexus RX400h models, and mainly concerns those sold in the U.S., Japan, and Europe, with some in Canada, Australia, and South Korea. Though the Japanese car-maker has faced quality issues and endured many recalls over the last year, analysts say Toyota's willingness to solve this problem immediately is a step in the right direction.
