Even captain Christine Sinclair's broken nose couldn't help the women's soccer team.
France beat Canada 4-0 at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Bochum, Germany, on Thursday. Canada will find itself eliminated from the tournament if Germany wins over Nigeria at another match later today. The Canadians were obviously outplayed, bearing more resemblance to the dump-and-chase style of their previous coach, Even Pellerud, rather than the tactical and confident approach that saw them enter the tournament with a 10-1-2 record in 2011. Upon entering the tournament, Canada was ranked sixth in the world, one ahead of France.
