After Gadhafi addresses his supporters, crossfire erupts between his troops and rebels.
At least 11 Libyan rebels were wounded in a heated crossfire exchange Saturday in Dafniya, a town just west of the port city of Misrata. The heavy gunfire between the rebels and those troops loyal to Moammar Gadhafi occurred just hours after the Libyan leader addressed his supporters via audio message, threatening to take the fighting to Europe in retaliation for NATO's bombing campaign. Although the U.S. is taking Gadhafi's recent remarks seriously, both U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and State Department spokesman Mark Toner said the United States is continuing its support of NATO's mission to pressure Gadhafi to step aside.
