The UN tribunal enters a "not guilty" plea on the former general's behalf after he demands a new lawyer.
Ratko Mladic was kicked out of a courtroom in The Hague after he refused to let judges on his war crimes tribunal read out the genocide charges laid against him. Mladic said he was “not going to listen” to the lead justice Alphons Orie until his personal lawyer was on hand, in response to which the UN tribunal's head judge ordered the former Bosnian Serb general to be removed from the room. The judges entered a “not guilty” plea on Mladic's behalf after he was removed, setting up what's bound to be a heated trial for charges stemming from Mladic's role in the Srebrenica massacre, Europe's worst mass killing since the Second World War.
