Father-and-son media juggernauts Rupert and James Murdoch are refusing to go before the British Parliament to answer questions about what role, if any, they had in the phone-hacking scandal that sunk the News of the World. Rupert Murdoch passed on a summons to appear before Parliament to one of News International's executives, Rebekah Brooks, who was an editor at NoW when some of the phone-hacking is alleged to have occurred. Murdoch said he would only testify at a public inquiry, while his son James has delayed any appearances until next month, presumably so he can get his proverbial crap together. Nine people have been arrested so far in the scandal.
