Google Rolls Out Street View Trikes

The three-wheeled bikes will take photos of places that cars can't go in Google's never-ending quest to document everything everywhere.
In case you were concerned Google hadn't done enough to trample over privacy rights, the search-engine/everything-creator unveiled tricycles that will be used to take photos of bike trails, historic sites, and other places cars can't go for its Street View application. The pedal-powered trike with a mounted camera was shown off at Toronto's Yonge and Dundas Square before hitting the streets to capture the city's paths before heading out to Vancouver. Hopefully this time the benevolent web giant will make sure that the trikes won't accidentally steal e-mail addresses, medical conditions, and IP addresses of citizens, which, as you may recall, happened when Google dispatched cars for the first round of Street View.
