The arrest came just a day after the government published the names and photos of 30 suspected war criminals in Canada.

Canadian police have arrested suspected war criminal Cristobal Gonzalez-Ramirez, in connection with a special army unit in Honduras. The 44-year-old has been taken into custody in Alberta and now faces deportation. Immigration Minister Jason Kenney credits public assistance for the arrest, which came just a day after the government launched a controversial website featuring the names and photos of 30 alleged war criminals believed to be hiding in Canada. Though none of the suspects on the website have been convicted in a criminal court, the Immigration and Refugee Board has found them complicit in war crimes or crimes against humanity. "We asked the public for assistance in apprehending these individuals and the response has been overwhelmingly positive," Kenney said on Friday.
