At the same time, the Liberals are quick to note that the Act has created 20,000 jobs to date, and will add another 30,000 over the next year. Supporters laud the landmark legislation for making the province a world leader in renewable energy. The Act enables North America’s first guaranteed pricing structure for renewable-electricity production by employing a Feed-in Tariff (FIT) that guarantees a premium and stable price for the production of clean energy.
