Los Angeles police join just about every NHL player in getting insulted by the petulant winger.
Details (AMAZING details) are emerging over New York Rangers' enforcer Sean Avery's arrest last night at his Los Angeles mansion for allegedly shoving an LAPD officer. The renowned pest (and gay rights activist/ fashion maven) was holding a party last night when officers came to his house to tell him to cut down on the noise. When Avery opened the door, he apparently called the officers “fat little pigs” (!) and challenged them to a bout of fisticuffs before he pushed one of the officers and slammed the door shut. When he opened the door again, Avery had softened his position (even though a fight between Avery and L.A.'s finest would be just epic), but the cops arrested and booked him. Avery now faces a misdemeanour charge of battery on a police officer, which could carry a fine of $2,000 and a year in prison if convicted. Avery paid the $20,000 bail and was released this morning.
