Wherein we see that the Liberal Party's PR department still has a long way to go.

Interim Liberal Party Leader Bob Rae called NDP leader Nycole Turmel "flaky" on unity after she confirmed this week that she was a card-carrying member of the Bloc Québécois. "We have somebody who did not reveal to the public the fact she was simultaneously, apparently, a member of three political parties over the last five years,” he said. Rae stressed that the issue was not that she changed parties, (surprised to hear you say that, former NDP member Rae) but that she failed to disclose her affiliations to the public during the last campaign. Turmel, who was selected to replace Jack Layton while he battles cancer, defended herself in a statement to the media where she insisted that she was just holding Bloc membership for a friend.
