Communists Warn Mammoliti with Human Rights Complaint

In which we declare this year's communism meme to be over.

Toronto's commie-baitin' summer continues, with honest-to-goodness actual communists threatening to file a human rights complaint against Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti for his claims that a handful of Toronto councillors are full-blown reds. Communist Party of Canada leader Elizabeth Rowley said she'd take Mammoliti to the rights commission over his commie campaign, in which he's banned “communists” from a Facebook page, has claimed that he can smell them, and complained that Marxists and the like have overtaken city hall. Aaaaaaannd we think this whole snafu has just about hit its 15 minutes of fame. We're all for having fun at Mammoliti's expense (are we ever!), but come on, a human rights complaint? With next to no grounds? This is just begging to get Ezra Levant involved, which would mean that between him, Mammoliti, and the collective brains behind the Communist Party, we would have the most intellectually deprived controversy the country has seen since... we don't know, the Maurice Richard riots maybe? Either way, let's just end this. The more credence we give to either side, the longer this mess will continue.
