Penguins GM says the team will know more about Sid the Kid's condition once training camp starts next month.
Sidney Crosby, who we hear from top sources is a hockey player of some repute, might not be healthy enough to take to the ice once the National Hockey League season starts in a little less than two months. Crosby's lingering post-concussion syndrome has hampered his recovery since being hit in the head twice in matches last January. Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Ray Shero said there's no timeline yet for Crosby's return, adding that the team will have a better picture of its star centre's health come training camp next month. Crosby, who single-handedly validated the nation's self-worth by scoring the gold medal-winning goal at the Winter Olympics last year, had been on pace to set a personal best in points last season before the injury put an end to his campaign. The Penguins are slated to open the season against the Vancouver Canucks on Oct. 6.
