Brits Planned To Drug Hitler ... with Estrogen

If nothing else, it would have spelled the end for the Hitler 'stache.
British intelligence agents planned on drugging Adolf Hitler with estrogen during the Second World War to see if the feminizing hormone might have eased the dictator's endless thirst for world domination. British historian Brian Ford uncovered the plot, which would have had secret agents gain access to Hitler's inner circle, where they would have laced his food with estrogen and hoped for the best. Estrogen was chosen over more lethal poisons because it would have gone undetected by Hitler's food testers. The plot never got past the planning stage, although, had this scheme actually come to fruition, it's endlessly entertaining to think of what the fuhrer might have come up with had his testosterone been turned down a notch. Knitting cardigans for the Axis troops battling the cold in Stalingrad! Tea cozies for artillery shells! Having retreating tanks stop and ask for directions around Kursk-Orel! Stocking U-Boats with home-made marzipan! Heart-to-hearts over bottles of shiraz with Hirohito and Mussolini! Etc.!
