Vancouver Fruit Stand Closed For Selling Too Much Fruit

Seriously.
The City of Vancouver has ordered a popular fresh fruit stand to shut down because it sells too much fruit. Rob Smith shut down his Berry Mobile fruit stand in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighbourhood after the city by-law officers said he was violating the terms of his permit, as the stand sells more fruit than the store he splits the permit with could carry. Smith was told he'd have to scale back his operation, which sells B.C.-grown blueberries, cherries, strawberries, and more throughout the summer. Smith has complied and closed down the stall on Sunday, but given how much the city loves its grassroots activism, there'll be the requisite petitions in support of Smith out in no time.
